Today we started off by meeting one of my father's old students. We skied with her, her boyfriend, and her two friends for the morning and had a blast. The best trail was Eagle's Nest followed by Third Door. The snow wasn't anything special but we were able to seek out some stashes of powder. After lunch my sister and I took one run on the racecourse and we both got solidly beaten by the local chief of police. My father and I decided afterwards to try out the baldy chutes. These had never been open before when we were here so we hiked up and skied down into a steep gully. It didn't matter that we were winded after five turns, we had a great time. I hope we'll get lucky and receive one of the famous Alta dumps. If not, I'll still have a wonderful time skiing all that Alta has to offer. |
